You totally missed the point ‘Hmmmm’. The article about Nixon didn’t appear in the Almanac. It’s in the newspaper Doc holds up.

For all we know, after Biff won his first bet, the text in the almanac all changed around to predict a new future, or it was erased entirely.

So two seperate depictions of a corrupt 1985 are the same world, just because they both feature the same corrupt president being re-elected? What other corrupt president besides Nixon are they gonna pick to run a corrupt 1985? Andrew Jackson?

If there are any specific references to Biffco in The Watchman comic, then you have a point. Other than that, it’s not even a coincidence.

The almanac was from the “unaltered” timeline. When Biff went back to 1955, gave himself the almanac, and therefore created a new timeline, the almanac was still referencing something that happened in a different timeline.

There was no guarantee that any of that information would have been useful at all, and I’m sure that after Biff really started taking off financially, sending the world into a downward spiral, most of the events in the almanac would have never even taken place.

Sure, he would have been lucky for a while, but not long enough to have gained the money to be able make all of that happen.

Also, people would have started following his bets and betting with Biff. Either that or the Government would have shut him down.

… but forgetting all of that swiss cheese of a story. Doc invented the time machine, and without that, none of this would have been possible.

Doc is the hero, not Biff.

P.S. If the almanac was always right and changed with the timeline (like Marty’s photo did at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance), then the future that Doc and Marty travelled to would have still been the future in Biff’s timeline. Therefore the Watchmen connection is bunk, as obviously, the future the almanac came from was not a post-apocalyptic cold-war future.
