Tomas Alfredson, director of last year’s excellent Swedish vampire drama Let the Right One In, will be at the helm of a humble little sex-change film called The Danish Girl, starring Nicole Kidman.
The movie, scripted by Lucinda Coxon and taken from the novel by David Ebershoff, tells the story of Danish painter Einar Wegener, who, in 1931, was the first person to undergo a sex change operation, which turned him into a woman.
According to Variety, Nicole Kidman will be playing Wegener. Not sure if she’ll be playing him/her in both his male and female states or not. Charlize Theron was at one point attached to play Wegener’s wife, but has since dropped out.
If nothing else, it sounds like an interesting project, and I’m really excited to see what Alfredson has up his sleeve for his next film. This looks like one to keep an eye on.

Hello. This is kind of an “unconventional” question , but have other visitors asked you how get the menu bar to look like you’ve got it? I also have a blog and am really looking to alter around the theme, however am scared to death to mess with it for fear of the search engines punishing me. I am very new to all of this …so i am just not positive exactly how to try to to it all yet. I’ll just keep working on it one day at a time Thanks for any help you can offer here.
