Hancock 2?? Really?? Aw, HELL naw!!

This one’s a bit beyond me.  I thought everyone died at the end of the first Hancock.  Maybe that was just in my version, though, when it started to suck miserably in the last half.

But I guess my version of the movie just wasn’t how it went, because now, Variety reports that hancock_newall of the key players–Will Smith, Charlize Theron, Jason Bateman, and director Peter Berg–are “gearing up” to give us a second adventure with our bad attitude superhero.

If the first movie had stayed within the parameters of the promising tone of the first half of the movie, then I might be interested to see a sequel.  But since the second half undid everything that was good about it, and threw in some of the most ridiculous and bloated mythology I’ve ever seen, there is nothing in the world that could possibly make Hancock 2 anything remotely interesting.

Berg told everyone at the Toronto Film Festival that “everyone” was coming back for a sequel.  Let’s cross our fingers and hope he was just referring to some weird dream that he had.

I liked the first one. But i like bad movies evidentally. I loved Hancock’s attitude that he just didn’t give a shit… Makes me wish if i were a super hero i’d be like him. A second one though, i’ll rent it.
