Yesterday in my article about the ever-expanding filmography of the great Nicolas Cage, I failed to mention his involving in The Green Hornet, which just started shooting.
Cage, who has a lot on his plate right now, was set to play the villain in the Seth Rogen-starring action flick, but now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, he’s gone and dropped out.
Apparently, Cage and the studio weren’t able to “come to terms on a deal,” which obviously means that the dude thought he was worth a little more than Sony did.
Lucky for the film, Cage hadn’t yet shot any scenes, but I’m guessing that they’ll want to work quickly to find a replacement.
This isn’t the first time this movie has had a casting issue–a few months back, Chinese director/actor Stephen Chow (who was also slated to direct the flick at one time) was set to play Kato, but then dropped out and was replaced by Jay Chou.
