Two new posters for The Road, plus a review from the Venice Film Festival

Posted on 03 September 2009 by ShepRamsey

Well, it’s a bit of a slow news day, but I did manage to run across these two new posters for the upcoming adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s The Road

If the initial trailer for the film filled you with frustration at the obvious signs of misleading marketing, maybe these posters will brighten your day a tad (and by brighten your day, I mean appropriately depress the shit out of you).

Despite what the trailer tried to sell this film as, I have faith in this movie because I know that director John Hillcoat (whose The Proposition is one of the best films of the decade) is the right man for the job.  These two posters only serve to make me more confident of that.

But to add to that, The Road premiered yesterday at the Venice Film Festival, and I also managed to come across a somewhat brief (but positive) review for the film.  Check it out RIGHT HERE and check out the posters right below!
