Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm is really blowing up.  A few weeks ago it came out that he had a role in Ben Affleck’s next directorial effort and now he’s joining the cast of the new film by Zack Snyder.

jonhammAccording to The Hollywood Reporter, Hamm has just signed on for Snyder’s Sucker Punch, the story of a girl (Emily Browning) sent to a mental institution and enters an alternate reality looking for a way out.

Hamm will be playing a character by the name of High Roller.  Nothing else about that is know.  Hmmmm…

Sounds intriguing.  I like Hamm.  He seems like a cool guy and between his Lex Luthor thing and his guest starring role on 30 Rock, he’s continually proving that he’s got quite the interesting sense of humor, which could work really well in a movie like this.

He apparently did a bang up job hosting SNL a couple of years ago after he won his first Golden Globe for Mad Men. He’s apparently got quite the wicked sense of humor. He should be blowing up too. He’s amazing.
