Final Poster for Richard Kelly’s The Box!

Posted on 17 July 2009 by Quaid

We saw a variation on this poster a few months back.  Now we get a high-rez version of the image, updated with more characters, courtesy of Richard Kelly himself (via Twitter).

It’s a pretty standard thriller poster…but what strikes me is the classic-looking Frank Langella standing in the center.  Creepy and stylish, and it reminds me of the Tall Man from Phantasm for some reason.  Very cool.

For those not in the loop, Richard Kelly’s third feature (after Donnie Darko and Southland Tales) is the story about a financially challenged couple who is given a box with a single button.  Push the button, and they will receive one million dollars, cash.  But someone somewhere in the world, who they don’t know, will die.

Is it a moral conundrum or a no-brainer?  Click the image to make the poster biggerized, and click HERE to see the trailer we posted a few weeks back.

So, sounds like a no brainer. I’d push the button…

I’m there with you. So if they made this movie about us, it would be like 10 minutes and we could go on with our lives, versus reality where now we have to sit thru another crappy cameron diaz “i wanna be a serious actress” movie. Horrible…
