Give yourself an infusion…of EVIL! Domestic poster and trailer for Park Chan-wook’s Thirst!!

When I heard that Focus Features had picked up the distribution rights to Park Chan-wook’s Cannes Jury Prize-winning vampire film Thirst, I knew that these would come soon after.  And here they are!

thirstFirst up, we’ve got the domestic one-sheet for the film–it’s nice and dark, cryptic, and fancy-like!  It includes a very encouraging quote from Richard Corliss, which I didn’t exactly need to get even more excited for this movie, but every little bit helps, right?  Click on the image to see it in all its glory!

Also here is the new red-band trailer for the film, which I have to admit leaves a little bit to be desired.  It’s not that the film doesn’t look fantastic–I’ve already seen enough international trailers to know that it ought to be pretty good–it’s just a very poorly put-together trailer with some of the cheesiest title cards that I’ve ever seen.  If you ask me, the director of Oldboy deserves a little bit more respect than the poor job done on this trailer!

Anyway, check it out right below–it’s nice to finally have a trailer for this film with some English subtitles on it.  Focus is releasing the film on July 31, which as far as I’m concerned can’t come soon enough!

Those titles weren’t too bad. And the trailer looked pretty damn spiffy…maybe it’s just that I haven’t been following this movie as much as you.
