Could Mad Max 4 be coming in the not-too-distant future?

Hey friends, Shep here with some interesting news regarding the long-awaited fourth entry in George Miller’s outstanding Mad Max franchise.

According to the Australian publication, Herald Sun, it seems that Miller is currently scouting locations to start shooting the script moreroadwarrior_l the much-discussed Fury Road. It could go into production later this year. It’s nice to know that the guy hasn’t totally committed himself to dancing penguins just yet.

Of course, it’s no surprise that he says Mel Gibson probably won’t be returning. He has said in recent years that he thinks Gibson is too old for the part now, anyway. He says “It won’t be Mel. He was 21 when he made the first one. Now he’s a lot older and his passion is for filmmaking and directing.”

Yeah, and we all know how that’s working out for him.

Anyway, hoping that this tiny little publication isn’t just blowing smoke up all our asses, we may end up seeing Fury Road surprisingly soon. And that, friends, is just awesome!
