That’s right, folks. The long gestating idea of Martin Scorsese bringing the life of Mr. Frank Sinatra to the screen is finally coming closer to reality.
According to Variety, Universal and Mandalay Pictures have been quietly developing this film for a couple of years, working hard to secure the life rights and music rights attached to the legendary singer.
Variety also tells us that:
“Although no actor is attached to star in the film, Schulman said Leonardo DiCaprio is an obvious candidate because he has become Scorsese’s go-to actor over the past decade, having starred in the director’s past four narrative features…”
No word yet on what this means for Scorsese’s Roosevelt biopic project. The man has three major projects in development according to IMDB…I wonder which one is going to jump to the forefront.
