If you liked X-Men Origins: Wolverine, have no fear because a sequel is already in the works.

jackmanVariety has reported that Jackman’s production company, Seed Productions, is already working on the development of another film that will center on the samurai storyline that is explored in the comics. This is reportedly Jackman’s favorite thread of the comics. There is no script yet but I guarantee there will be one by Friday.

Jackman also has quite a few other buns in the oven. Fox has just closed a deal for Personal Security, in which Jackman will star as a tough police officer roped into providing security for a teenage heiress. Seed also has plans to adapt the James Sallis novel Drive, in which Jackman will play a solitary man that drives race cars by day and getaway cars by night.

I didn’t see Wolverine over the weekend, but if you want some commentary from my cohorts, you can check out Shep’s review here and Quaid’s related commentary piece here.
