Michael Cera in a Sundance Mockumentary! Paper Heart trailer now online!

Why is it that I cannot get enough of Michael Cera? His persona is at once vulnerable, intelligent, charming, and geeky. He’s the Anthony Michael Hall of the new millennium.

So of course when I heard he was in a mockumentary, I was interested.  And after watching the trailer for this Sundance film, I’m really looking forward to this one. It looks like a more indie, grown-up version of Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, which I am not ashamed to admit that I liked a lot despite its large gaps in logic and fast-and-loose sense of plot.

I love to see a good movie about people falling in love.  That’s what it all comes down to, and this looks like a slightly different take on the subject than we’ve seen before.  Take a look, and feel free to disagree.  But come on, it’s gotta make you smile at least once…if you have a heart, that is. (I’m looking at you, Shep).

The movie opens in New York and LA on August 7 and expands the week after.
