Variety is reporting that Tony Kebbell has joined the cast of Disney’s live-action The Sorcerer’s Apprentice movie.

tonykebbellThis is the first I’ve heard of this film which will adapt everyone’s favorite segment of Fantasia into a 90-minute feature.  With Nick Cage playing the Sorcerer who is either searching for buried treasure or trying to save the world from sunspots.

Kebbell will join forces with Alfred Molina’s evil sorcerer, Horvath, in trying to take over the world.

I have no feelings about this.  It might be terrible, but I give anything involving Alfred Molina at least a fighting chance.

The movie will be set in contemporary New York, and John Turteltaub (National Treasure) will direct while Jerry Bruckheimer (National Treasure) produces.
