Hey friends, Shep here with trailer # 3 for this summer’s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth installment in the franchise based off of J.K. Rowling’s books.
I have to say that, although I was skeptical for a good long time about a lot of what I’d been hearing about this movie, I am finally in a state where I can say I am officially jazzed like crazy for this movie. It looks just as good and dark and epic and awesome as it needs to be.
So I’m doing away with all the fear caused by test-screenings that reported it being too goofy and romancy, its PG-rating, and the fact that director David Yates said that they’re just “having a bit of a laugh” with this one. If everything that I’m seeing here is present in a film that he classifies as a “bit of a laugh,” then I can’t wait to see how he tackles Deathly Hallows.
And speaking of Deathly Hallows, MTV has given us some interesting information about the epilogue at the end of the book. It will indeed be included at the end of the film, Deathly Hallows Part II, but will be shot with the original cast in aging makeup instead of older lookalike actors.
Anyway, that’s jumping ahead a bit. Here’s the trailer for Half-Blood Prince. I can’t place a lot of specific events in here with ones from the book, but a lot of that is just because I really don’t remember many specifics about the book. Potter junkies, feel free to berate me if this doesn’t look up to the task, but I think this looks pretty damn awesome. Check it out for yourselves!
