God-like documentarian Errol Morris, maker of such films as Mr. Death: The Rise and Fall of Fred A. Leuchter, Jr. and the Oscar-winning The Fog of War is making his first narrative feature after a 30-year career in documentaries.
The movie is currently untitiled but was written by Zach Helm and is described as a “dark comedy” loosely based on Robert F. Nelson’s memoir “We Froze the First Man.” The story is about a TV repairman who joins a group of people who attempt to cheat death through the use of cryonics.
I love Morris’s films and this sounds like something that could turn out to be really, really awesome. I’m excited! For those of you unfamiliar with Morris’s work, go rent every movie he’s ever made and then write him a formal apology for not doing that sooner.
