Hey friends, tis Shep with a bit of casting news for you for various cinematic endeavors on the horizon.

First up, The Hollywood Reporter is telling us that Catherine Keener will be stooping down a notch or two to appear in a Chris Columbus film titled Percy Jackson, based on a book series about Greek gods existing wilson_patrick_341x182in modern times. The cast already includes Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, and Sean Bean to name a few.

Also from The Hollywood Reporter, Patrick Wilson, who was terrific as Nite Owl II in Watchmen, will be joining the cast of the radio broadcasting comedy Morning Glory which currently stars Harrison Ford, Rachel McAdams, Jeff Goldblum, and Diane Keaton.

And the RiskyBizBlog is telling us that Megan Fox is starring in the lead role in a Mexican border thriller called The Crossing where she has to smuggle heroin across the border to help spring her kidnapped husband.

We’ve also got another little tidbit about the new Twilight picture, titled New Moon, which Summit Entertainment announced just began production. It seems Cameron Bright, the kid from Thank You for Smoking has joined the ever-expanding cast for this film that already contains more people than I have room to list.

And finally, ShockTillYouDrop is reporting that Thomas Dekker, who I’ve learned plays John Connor on the Fox TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, is perhaps getting a role in the upcoming remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, which already stars Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy and Kyle Gallner as random dead teenager # 1.

I don’t believe Megan Fox is actually going to be in a movie other than Transformers. Ever. It’s weird.

  2. ShepRamsey Says:

I kinda don’t either. Although she was in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People and performed somewhat competently in that one. But we keep hearing about her in the lead roles of all these different movies and have yet to see any of it. I don’t think she’s a real person.
