For all of you chomping at the bit for the new Harry Potter flick, your wait will be a bit shorter.
Warner Bros. is moving Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince from a July 17 release date to July 15. The studio is probably hoping to mirror the success had by Order of the Phoenix which made a similar move and took in $44 million on its Wednesday release. All told, it took in $139 million in its five day release period.
I’m stoked to see this one. It looks like the cool, dark origin story that we haven’t quite gotten in the other films. Also, moving it up two days is smart; Harry Potter is a total Wednesday series.
Also, the new trailer for this movie is set to go online at 9 pm this Thursday according to Dark Horizons. Should be cool.
