…Spring Awakening. The one-named director of Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and the upcoming Terminator: Salvation is currently in talks to adapt a Broadway rock musical.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, McG will produce and direct the film which doesn’t officially have a major studio behind it yet, but may likely go to Warner Bros.
The musical is a coming-of-age story set in 19th-century Germany about a bunch of young boys discovering their sexuality. Frankly this sounds like the kind of thing that I would expect a guy named “McG” to be directing. However, I’ve promised myself to stop judging the guy since Terminator: Salvation actually looks like it’ll be pretty good.
The ball’s in your court, McG. Wow us.
