Pacino as Napoleon! Why? Because he’s got a GREAT ASS!

Al Pacino is set to play French Emperor Napoleon in an adaptation of Staton Rabin’s children’s book “Betsy and the Emperor.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pacino has been interestedpacino for a long time in playing Napoleon. I’m not sure that an adaptation of a children’s book is quite the capacity that he was imagining him in, but maybe he’s getting desperate at this point.

John Curran, director of The Painted Veil will be directing from a script by Brian Edgar.

The book tells the story of a girl who lives on the island of St. Helena, where Napoleon went into exile after his capture at Waterloo. There she meets Napoleon and strikes up a (quite unlikely) friendship with him.

Sound kinda interesting.

Who the F writes a kids book about Napoleon? And I’m pretty sure he was treated very poorly in exile…does he bumble about with black eyes and disjointed arms in his meanderings with the young lass?

Pacino could be a badass Napoleon. Just maybe not that heartwarming sort of way.
