Hey friends, Shep here with a few casting updates for various motion pictures that are out on the horizon!
Jeff Goldblum and Diane Keaton have joined the Roger Michell-directed comedy Morning Glory which already stars Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams. According to Variety, Ford and Keaton are playing rival on-air personalities who create havoc for the station’s new news producer (McAdams). Goldblum will be playing McAdams’s boss. Nice to see him at the top of the food chain.
Also, in some very interesting casting news Dark Horizons reports that Garry Shandling will be in the cast of Iron Man 2, which began shooting yesterday on a key scene where Shandling played a major part. Sound exciting!
Maria Bello is joining the cast of a currently untitled Happy Madison production scripted by Adam Sandler and Fred Wolf about high school friends who reuinite after 30 years. She will be joining a cast that already includes Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Salma Hayek, and Maya Rudolph. This according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Hollywood Reporter also tells us that Jennifer Garner will star in and mayhap produce the film Butter, about a young orpha, adopted by a family, who turns out to have an uncanny talent for butter-carving. You heard that right, folks. Butter-carving.
