A 3D Re-Animator remake heading our way?

Brian Yuzna, director of the original Re-Animator is developing a stereoscopic remake of the original and amazing horror film based loosely on the work by H.P. Lovecraft.  Ray Haboush of Automatic Media and Halcyon International Pictures will also produce.

reanimatorNo word on…well, anything yet.  Expect it to be (what are those key words for horror nowadays?) “darker” and “grittier” than the original.

All I want to know is this: Will we get to see wild-eyed Jeffrey Combs take up the mantle of Dr. Herbert West once again?  Or will we have someone like Crispin Glover in the role?

This one is a long time out, so don’t hold your breath.  As much as I love the original, I’m not opposed to a remake.  It could be a lot of fun.  Especially in 3D, with blood and gore shooting right at YOU!
