Splice Pics: Our first look at Adrian Brody’s new horror opus.

Posted on 26 February 2009 by Quaid

Hi, all, Quaid here.  Seems our good Mr. Adrien “The Jacket” Brody has gotten himself into some horrible horror troubles once again.  Now he is starring in Splice, a movie about scientists making a crazy monster-thing.

I would disregard this movie entirely, but the pics piqued my curiosity.  So I looked up the director…it’s Vincenzo Natali, who brought us the delightfully fun and interesting Ginger Snaps.  I love that movie and the way it handles character development and fun thematic stuff, so I’m officially interested in this new one.

Here are a few pics.  Click HERE to go to Bloody-Disgusting and see the rest.

Those pictures look pretty interesting, actually. The humanized/grown version of the creature looks kind of like the little boy (Edward) in the dream/unconscious part of “The Cell” when his face is all distorted. Looks imaginative, at least…

Brody also made a movie recently with Dario Argento called “Giallo.” (An extremely fitting name for an Argento film, as its the name of the sub-genre in which he dabbles the most.) Not sure when we’re gonna get to see that one, though. This one looks pretty cool, too. I’m looking forward to it!
