Arrested Development Movie! Michael Cera finally says “yes!”

We have been waiting for this news for a long time.  Everyone else was ready and raring to go, including Jason Batemen, Will Arnett, David Cross, and even Oscar-winning director Ron Howard.

arrested_developmentBut Cera was too busy doing Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist (which Hans actually liked!)

According to E! Online, that has all changed.  Apparently Cera is willing to do the movie, and Ron Howard says “It’s cloaked in a little mystery, but it’s looking good.”

Please make this movie.  And make it as anti-warm-and-fuzzy as the show was.  That’s my one fear…that Howard adds a story arc that makes all the family members bond and struggle together to pull through some ordeal.

That’s what the show always promised and never delivered, and that’s why is was so funny.

If you are unfamiliar with the show and want to get caught up, you can buy it HERE.

Fuckin a right there is gonna be an Arrested Development movie and a Clue movie.

  2. Quaid Says:

They should do a crossover movie. A whodunnit clue movie with the arrested development cast. And Tim Currie as the butler. I don’t really think I’m joking.

I love that idea. With Jason Bateman in the Michael McKean role–that would be awesome. They could use Jessica Walter as a Mrs. Peacock-type. We need a Clue review.

  4. Quaid Says:

Agreed. I can’t remember if I own it or not…
