Wolverine Goes to War in 2nd TV Spot

Posted on 17 February 2009 by ShepRamsey

In the second of three X-Men Origins: Wolverine TV spots that FOX is airing, we pick up right where yesterday’s left off…somewhere after the “He’s not your father…son” line. It’s as if they’re trying to recite the whole movie to us before it even comes out.

In this spot, titled “Brothers,” we see conflict begin to escalate between Wolverine and Liev Schrieber (I know he’s playing Sabretooth, but if Liev Schrieber’s in your movie, you call him Liev Schrieber…or Cotton Weary). They go to the Civil War together, they go to World War II together, and I think I saw flashes of Nam in there. Ahhh, to be brothers!

Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t help butĀ imagine some random passerby walking by the set on the day they’re shooting the Civil War scenes, he stops to ask “Hey, what’s going on here?” and a crew member responds “Oh, we’re just making an X-Men movie.” The passerby winces and walks away.

Anyway, it’s a big improvement over yesterday’s goofy little set-up spot. Check it out below!

Ok, I’m kind of getting excited despite myself. Honestly, maybe not even despite myself. But bro(ther)s before hos, man…I like Liev. (When he’s not doing crap movies.)

PS, could someone PLEASE do a slo-mo video of him dog-bounding across the beach of Normandy?
